(They don't open until 7local) board shuttle to terminal, go to gate area and wait. (The gate was not posted until 9) Report to gate and line up to check in and wait. (You can't check in until the arriving plane has emptied and you can't enter the departure lounge until you've checked in.)
Board plane for 1 hour flight to Frankfort, deplane and enter terminal to find next gate, repeat previous experience. While waiting, purchase 2 OJ's, a diet Coke and a coffee plus a croissant, $35 (Once admitted to the departure lounge, there are no shops or johns, to make a purchase or use the restroom, one must leave the area and return through the check-in)
Board plane for Toronto and wait, there is to much air traffic over the UK, it takes 35 + min. to get a slot.
Land in Toronto and take a shuttle to the Terminal. This is an Airbus 300 and they park it and bring out buses. Better than waiting for a gate I guess. Get off shuttle and follow the crowd to check in for Detroit. Must wait an hour for bags. Collect bags and wheel them through customs. Then check them back in, then go through security, then take shuttle to departure terminal, then wait.
Fly to Detroit on a twin engine prop job.
Collect luggage, all except the one of Snider's that didn't make it to Toronto, grab a cab to Bill and Jan's, have a drink, some pizza and go to bed. 10:30 PM local, 3:30 AM GMT, a 23 hour day.Richardhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17969043473205626855noreply@blogger.com
