This has been a dismal week in the world. Pope John Paul II died, Johnnie Cochran died, Howell Heflin died, and so did Michigan State.
Like Terry Schiavo, State needed life support to stay alive, and didn't get it. They lost decisively to North Carolina, 87-71.
They have proved themselves to be the 3rd or 4th best team in the entire NCAA. I hope they realize that and hold their heads high.
Monday night Illinois will play North Carolina for the Championship. It should be quite a game.
