Errands and Entertaining

Today was a very fun day, especially the ending!

We began by taking Dick's new iPad over to the Verizon store to imbue it with a hot spot.  We were there for an hour and a half, but we accomplished our mission!

The Verizon guy was very nice, very congenial and pleasant, and very new at his job.  Ours was the very first hot spot of his career!

Anyway, we are very pleased with the outcome, and now we have WiFi at Piper's Landing, with no further hassle!  Dick is getting more and more impressed with what his iPad can do - I think it will become an integral part of his life.

That took so long that we were then ready for lunch.  We went to our old favorite, PA Grill, just over the bridge.  We couldn't eat all of the food they gave us, so we brought home a big box of leftovers.

Then it was time to go to Comcast to turn in a router,  a modem,  three remotes and three cable boxes.  The parking lot was full, and people were lined up outside the building.  They were saying that there would be an hour's wait to speak to someone.  All we wanted to do was to return those items, so Dick just left the bag of stuff on the counter and we left.  Farewell Comcast!

We had the Gillespies over for pork chops on the grill tonight.  It was a late dinner, because Dylan has tennis clinics from 4 to 6 this week Wed., Thurs., and Fri.  We ate around 7 and spent a great couple of hours exploring the house, playing the organ, and mostly just chatting and listening to Dylan's new jam box.  Jana called and we all spoke to her, and hope her cold goes away soon.

This house on Loch Lane is really nice for entertaining.  The only problem is that we have a distinct shortage of dinnerware compared to other rentals.  We have a grand total of 5 dinner plates, for instance.
